Jesus said even he and the angels in heaven didn't know the day or hour, only Almighty God himself. That's why we have to stay alert and prepared, continuing to do God's will. As Jesus said "he that endures to the end will be saved." (Matt. 24:13) That is much more difficult that sitting and waiting for some fictitious event that will save one the trouble of taking action now.
