How Did Harold Camping (End of the World Guy) Get The Power for People To Listen To Him?

I mean... there are a ton of wacks out there who say "The World is Gonna End" but they son't have the power.. or the clout.. to be heard on a mass scale.

Why did the media and everyone give Camping a voice? How was he different from anybody else that nobody should take seriously?|||1. He used to have a legitimate Christian ministry, something happened in the 80s that led him to deception. Many of his original followers remained, and casual listeners never realized he'd basically left his faith.

2. He made tons of money selling an FM location out here that was highly desired (I really don't know why) and taking an AM station in return. So he has tons of money and can afford lots of publicity. He doesn't need the media's permission.

His the 4th person I know of that came up with a timeframe, you never heard of the others because they didn't have nearly enough money to get the kind of publicity he could afford (also they came and went before the internet was what it is today.|||Alas! Another glimmer of intelligence.

Who has the power and authority to make or break someone? Who decides who and what we listen to and what we believe? If we are told that an unsinged passport is found in rubble and that planes melted, and we believe it, then we are made into mindless puppets?

Where did H. Camping get his power from? Go look for a screen in your house and you have found the answer? Find out who controls the screen and you would have found your Puppet Master. How is he different? Trace his genealogy. It may lead to an all-seeing eye.

May YAHUWEH be praised in all of the land.|||People flock to the wild and outrageous...it just gets more attention and it always will. There are preachers out there who are preaching the REAL GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST and they're being ignored by the mainstream media. Yet a kook like Camping shows up and he's headline news. It seems to come down to good old fashioned sensationalism. Camping and his followers were driving around in well painted vans, wearing t-shirts all predicting the end as well as those billboards all across the country. Camping seemed to spare no expense and did a good job of promoting his false claims.|||He founded a ministry, called himself a pastor, and raked in the contributions over his radio network that spread his message. Some people are gullible.

He owns part of the media. He owns his own radio network.|||From Satan. Satan loves it when these people cry wolf. Because when the end of this system is really coming nobody will believe it.|||Because he spent millions of dollars "spreading to word" on billboards and busses all around the world.......|||Because he put up billboards everywhere.|||The trick is to appear sound %26amp; sane for years.

Tell them what they want to hear.

Gain people's trust.

Then abuse said trust.|||He has his own radio show.|||He's a one man freak show. It's not hard to get us to gawk at freak shows.|||WHO?|||well he most of posted his post on news...|||The fear of death is so incredibly powerful, that our mind will go to absurd limits to believe in anything other than the fact that we will all meet our own demise.
